Schimel and Kaul clash over arming teachers and voter ID in attorney general debate
GOP Attorney General Brad Schimel and Democrat Josh Kaul sparred in a debate Sunday night over arming teachers, untested rape kits, medical marijuana, voter ID and Obamacare. Schimel and Kaul displayed some of their sharpest differences over school safety. Schimel touted a $100 million plan approved this year to help schools strengthen their buildings. He said he did not favor gun-free zones for schools, and said local officials should be able to decide whether to arm teachers.
